The topic of the Essay Contest is:
Future of Zarathushtrian Religion
The Spenta University Essay Contest 2008 aims are to:
- Promotes serious discussion among high school students and teachers about Zarathushtra’s religion in the future;
- Complements existing curricula and other scholastic activities;
- Strengthens students' research, writing, and reasoning skills; and
- Meets National Contents Standards.
This years Prizes are sponsored by Aquarius Electronics
1st Prize: 1st place Plaque and a book and CD on Zarathushtrian Religion plus 500USD.
2nd Prize: 2nd place plaque and a a book and CD on Zarathushtrian Religion plus 300USD.
3rd Prize: 3rd place plaque and a book and a CD on Zarathushtrian Religion plus 150USD.

Deadlines
The postmark deadline for applications for the Summer 2008 Spenta Essay Contest is 31 September, 2008. Winners are notified by October 31, 2008. The award will be send by November 31.
Optional:
Coordinators who are organizing a group of students for class or extracurricular activity:
- Chooses how the Contest will be conducted—for example, uses the study guide in class and uses the essays as graded assignments.
- Oversees the selection process for essays submitted to the Contest—for example, chooses all essays or top essays to forward to the Institute.
Eligibility
Student Contest: All students who are 17 and above.
Senior Student Contest: All philosophy and religion student who are 18 and above.
