In the Doctorate Program each student completes 90 quarter credits including
the dissertation; at least
72 quarter credits in SPENTA. Each student demonstrates a reading knowledge
of “Avestan”
and a reading knowledge of other ancient or modern language necessary
for the field of study.
Students complete the doctorate program in four stages.
Stage One: Students master the general knowledge of the Zarathushtrian Studies.
Stage Two: The students deepen and refine
acquaintance with the field of study in preparation
for candidacy decision.
Stage Three: After attaining candidacy
students concentrate on hands-on experience in field research
or teaching.
Stage Four: Students write a dissertation and defend it in the school oral examination.
